The brief

An art collector wanted a home that could change as the collection grows, without ever feeling like a gallery.

Double-height living room with low cream sofas and a globe chandelier

The challenge

Huge windows and white walls flattened every piece of art, and the furniture felt lost in the volume.

Green velvet sofa with an arc floor lamp, potted plants and a gallery wall

The solution

We introduced saturated navy and emerald to give the art something to sit against, then anchored the double-height space with a low, deep seating group and sculptural lighting at human scale.
