The brief

A frequent traveller wanted the calm of a favourite hotel suite — at home, and without the anonymity.

Bed with a plum velvet frame against a warm timber wall and a wide window

The challenge

A structural column landed awkwardly beside the bed, and the street outside was noisy late into the night.

The solution

Instead of hiding the column we clad it in book-matched marble and made it the room's sculpture. Acoustic linings sit behind walnut panelling, and triple-layer curtains bring the noise and light right down.
