The brief

Our clients wanted bathing to feel like an event — somewhere to spend an hour, not five minutes.

Freestanding white bath beside a large window framing green foliage

The challenge

A listed barn with uneven floors, no existing drainage on that side and strict rules on altering the timber frame.

Dark stone bathroom with a floating white vanity and an illuminated mirror
Bathroom with a round mirror, brass wall lights and white herringbone tiles

The solution

We set a raised stone plinth to carry new services without touching the frame, and used timber reclaimed from the barn's own lean-to for the feature wall. Underfloor heating and dimmable wall lights keep it warm year-round.
