The brief

A young family wanted their tall, narrow townhouse to feel generous and quiet — a place to slow down after long city days, with room for two children and a lot of books.

The challenge

Deep rooms with light from one side, a patchwork of past renovations and almost no storage. Every extra cupboard risked making the house feel smaller.

Double-height living space with cream sofas, a patterned rug and a floating oak staircase

The solution

We pared the palette back to limewash, pale oak and travertine, then hid storage inside full-height joinery that reads as wall. Layered lighting on three circuits lets each room shift from bright workspace to evening calm.
